A New York (Winning) State of Mind

Nicknamed "Champion Kim" (her maiden name, Kim Eun Jun), in her homeland, she is a warm and friendly individual who has shown she can achieve anything she sets her mind on.  From being a celebrity in KOREA and moving to New York as a nobody who knew nothing of American language and culture, Mikki has risen above many challenges.  She helped with her family's business in the food industry while pursuing her education.  After graduating from The Fashion Institute of Technology and the Christine Valmy Esthetics and Makeup School, she went on to a successful career in makeup and beauty, co-founding a popular salon in New Your City.  But that's just Mikki, everything she approaches in life is with the same tenacity and drive to be her best.

A Change of Place

In 1999, Mikki decided she'd had enough of the fast-paced New York lifestyle and decided to slow things down in the beautiful island of Hawaii.  She welcome yet another lifestyle and culture with open arms, and took on the challenge of opening a food business that quickly gained a name for itself.  True to her nature, Mikki took to her new surroundings with the same winning sprit, and her life was enhanced even more with the birth of her daughter.  "Madison is everything to me," she explains.  Of course, you just know that Mikki will instill the same drive to excel in her daughter.
